March 29th was the first Frisco Friday of 2024. This event was a success thanks to the support of our sponsors, community partners, and the Bayview Hunter’s Point community! Due to inclement weather we had a location change in the 11th hour from India Basin Shoreline Park to the Joseph Lee Recreation Center. This was possible due to our partnership with the SF RPD SF RPD Peace Parks. While we did plan for reduced attendance, we were pleasantly surprised that over 200 community members attended and enjoyed the festivities including:

We featured some of our city’s most influential and rising vendors and impactful community based organizations such as Black to the Future, Balance, and Us4Us.

Here is some of the feedback we received:

“I love seeing the kids running around with sticky hands, smiling and laughing with food on their face while playing games!” ~ Community Partner“

I appreciate being able to purchase from local vendors. I bought a bracelet from the nice lady over there, and T-shirts from the gentleman over there for me, my daughter, and my niece.”  ~ Community Member that purchased jewelry from Scenic by LTH MEDIA and clothing from GUILTY.

This is a great event! That was one heck of an audible you all pulled to not have to cancel due to the rain!” ~ Community Partner

Thank you our Sponsors for investing in local small businesses and partnering with us to take this event from an idea to a reality.
